Blotter: Two children reportedly missing after being taken from home

Two children remained missing after two women reported they were taken from their home between 1 and 2 a.m. Friday in the 3900 block of Tuscany Court, according to a police report.

One of the women suspected a family member who was prohibited from seeing the children was involved, the report said.

The two women allegedly made “several false statements” to Denton police. No arrests were made.

“At this time, police are working to verify that the children are safe and with a legal guardian,” the report said.

Intersection of Reed Road and Scott Street — An 18-year-old man was arrested early Friday morning after falling unconscious in the passenger seat of a stolen vehicle, according to a police report.

The man was arrested on outstanding warrants and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, the report said.

Police contacted the owner of the vehicle, who came to the scene, the report said.  

2100 block of Sadau Court — A man reportedly had his firearms stolen from inside his vehicle while it was being cleaned Friday night at Heritage Car Wash, according to a police report. No arrests were made.

4200 block of Interstate 35 — A 19-year-old man was assaulted by three men Friday night at Days Inn Denton, according to a police report.

The victim said the assailants took two pairs of shoes from him during the assault, the report said. No arrests were made.
