Two victims and one suspect are dead after a double homicide and suicide stabbing in Sanger, according to police.
Shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday, Sanger police and Denton County sheriff’s officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Wichita Trail. Officers arrived to find a knife and the bodies of three people, all stabbed to death, according to Lt. Orlando Hinojosa, spokesman for the sheriff’s office.
The victims were a man and woman, both in their upper 60s, and the suspect was in his 20s, officials said.
The relationship of the victims and the suspect, along with their identities, have not yet been released.
“Once the medical examiners post the names of the victims and the suspect, then I’ll be able to release that information,” Hinojosa said.
All three are said to be residents of Sanger, according to Hinojosa.
There are no further suspects in the ongoing investigation, and no further information is available at this time, according to a news release from Hinojosa.
