Michelle Allred and Kasey Giles, both of Justin, were among 130 graduates of Everest College-Fort Worth at its February commencement ceremony.

Allred and Giles each earned a dental assisting diploma.

Hannah Nickel of Little Elm and Daniel Keeling of Corinth both made the President’s List at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie.

To make the list, students must have a 4.0 GPA.

Sheila Crutcher of Denton was named to the UNT President’s List for fall 2011.

To make the list, students must earn a 4.0 GPA and have a minimum 12-hour courseload.

Landon Hendrix of Ponder presented his physics research at the eighth annual Austin College Science Division Undergraduate Poster Symposium. The symposium celebrates Austin College’s undergraduate research. Hendrix was among 31 students presenting.

Armin Mikler, director of the Computational Epidemiology Research Laboratory and professor of computer science and engineering at the University of North Texas, gave a presentation during the symposium titled “Modern Epidemiology: A New Computational Science Facilitating Epidemiological Research through Computational Tools.”
