Miniature golf tourney fundraiser on tap

North Central Texas College is holding its 10th annual Miniature Golf Tournament to raise money for scholarships for attending the college’s Denton County campuses.

The tournament, sponsored by the NCTC Denton County Foundation, is set for Sept. 18 at Zone Action Park in Lewisville. Individual entrants will be assigned to a four-player team, and groups or businesses may enter teams.

Registration will begin at 5 p.m., which is also when a silent auction will open. The golf tournament will begin at 5:35 p.m. with a dinner and award ceremony to follow.

Entry fees are $20 for adults, $10 for students and $5 for children younger than 10. College employees can enter for $15, while NCTC students can join the tournament for $5.

NCTC is also challenging its employees to see which department can have the highest percentage of players. The winning department will receive a $250 scholarship to award to a NCTC student of its choice.

Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the players posting the best 18-hole scores. In addition, there will be prizes on various designated holes for a hole-in-one, longest putt and more.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for businesses and individuals.

For more information about becoming a sponsor, contact Debbie Sharp at 940-668-4213. For entry information, call 940-668-4213.
