Academy recognizes recovery graduates
Nineteen graduates of the Drop-Out Recovery Academy at North Central Texas College were recognized at a special ceremony recently on the Gainesville campus.
More than 130 students have received their GED in the past 18 months as a result of their enrollment in the NCTC program.
Students enrolled in the program can take classes in Gainesville, Bowie, Corinth and Aubrey.
Program graduates honored included: Christa Laborde and Patricia Puente of Gainesville; Vania Fung and Timothy Geller of Lewisville; Markell Gaither, Jennifer Gustafson, Kahla McDonald, Olivia Neal, Joey Rogers Jr. and Charles Hunter White of Denton; Ricki Grant of Aubrey; Dave Kaurian of Flower Mound; Dalton Martel of Argyle; Harley Matson of Saint Jo; Heather Thomas of Azle; and Joshua Tune, Alicia Wilson and Ariel Woods of Bowie.
