Pezzimenti, Rowe to perform in Little Chapel

Guitarists Carlo Pezzimenti and Brian Rowe will perform selections from their new CD, Arbol Del Olvido (Tree of Oblivion), in concert at 7:30 p.m. April 11 at Texas Woman’s University.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be in the Little Chapel-in-the-Woods on TWU’s Denton campus. For more information, call 940-898-2500.

Pezzimenti, an adjunct assistant professor of music at TWU, and Rowe, a TWU graduate student in music, will perform works by composers Leo Brouwer, Ernesto Garcia de Leon and Manuel de Falla. They also will perform a selection composed by TWU music faculty member Dr. James Chenevert.

 

‘Transfer Connection’ scheduled for April 14

Texas Woman’s University will conducts its “Transfer Connection” information session for prospective transfer students from 8:30 a.m. to noon April 14 on the TWU Denton campus.

Prospective transfer students who attend the event will receive a $50 application fee award to apply to TWU. Students also will attend sessions on admissions and financial aid, meet with advisers and faculty, receive sample degree plans, learn more about TWU services tailored to transfer students and take an optional campus tour.

Check-in for the “Transfer Connection” begins at 8:30 a.m. on the second floor of the Administration and Conference Tower (ACT) located on Administration Drive between Oakland Avenue and Bell Avenue in Denton. Information sessions conclude at 11:30 a.m. and will be followed by campus tours and residence hall viewings.

Free parking is available throughout the Denton campus for the event.
