College’s pre-candidate accreditation granted

The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education granted the UNT system College of Pharmacy pre-candidate accreditation, allowing the inaugural class of doctor of pharmacy students to begin school this August.

This is the first of three steps leading to full accreditation. The institution won’t be eligible for full accreditation until the first class has graduated.

The College of Pharmacy is the first college of pharmacy in Texas on an academic health science center campus, the UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth, and will award students with a doctor of pharmacy in four years.
