Community health fair to be held this month

Texas Woman’s University will conduct its 13th annual Well Wednesday Community Health Fair later this month, where community members can receive services and screenings for free or reduced costs.

The fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 26 in Hubbard Hall on Administration Drive.

The fair will have more than 50 vendors providing information, activities and some health services. Free services include blood pressure checks, HIV/STI testing and vision screenings.

Blood profiles are also available with a prior appointment at the fair. These include a complete metabolic panel, a complete blood count and lipid and thyroid profiles for $55. Men over the age of 50 will receive a blood profile that includes a complete metabolic panel, CBS, lipid panel and PSA (prostate specific antigen) for $55.
