UNT to open English program in Japan

UNT’s Intensive English Language Institute will begin a two-year program this month teaching English at Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan.

Five IELI staff will travel to Japan and teach intensive English, including proficiency and academic skills, to students who want to study abroad. The university sends approximately 1,600 students abroad each year.

The two universities have had an exchange relationship since 1992, and more than 200 Kansai Gaidai students have studied at UNT since 2002.
