Student documentaries to be screened Thursday

Short documentary films created by UNT graduate students will be premiered in an on-campus screening at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The students who worked on the films are completing their second year of the Master of Fine Arts degree in documentary film and were part of a class for advanced documentary production and post-production.

The screening is free and open to the public in Room 184 of the Radio, Television and Performing Arts Building at 1179 Union Circle, and students will answer questions about the films they produced after the screenings.

Senior fashion show set for Saturday

Graduating fashion design majors will display their final works before graduating in the ArtWear 2014 fashion show at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Gateway Center Ballroom at 801 North Texas Blvd.

The show doubles as a fashion show and an exit review for the seniors, and the featured garments will be selected by fashion industry professionals. A panel of judges will then pick the top pieces in different categories and give overall awards like “Best Collection.”

Tickets for the show cost $10 for UNT students and $25 for general admission.

Tickets are available at the Stovall Temporary Union Building Information Center, with remaining tickets being sold at the door.
