Argyle superintendent gets 1-year extension
The Argyle school board approved an additional year for Superintendent Telena Wright this week, extending her contract through June 2015.
"It's fairly customary for the school board to add another year to a superintendent's contract," board President Randy McKellar said. "It's like a vote of confidence."
He said Wright has helped in long-range planning for the district, and the board was pleased with how she handled decisions resulting from the cut in state funding for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 school years.
