Denton school district elementary school students eager to meet their new teachers will get the opportunity the week before school starts — which happens Monday, Aug. 27 — when the district will host its annual Meet the Teacher nights.
Families will be able to visit with teachers, administrators and staff, check out their new classrooms and tour their school on the following dates at these times:
Monday
• Houston — 5 to 6 p.m. (kindergarten only)
Tuesday
• Newton Rayzor — 6 to 7:30 p.m. (fourth and fifth grade only)
Wednesday, Aug. 22
• Newton Rayzor — 6 to 7:30 p.m. (second and third grade only)
Thursday, Aug. 23
• Blanton — 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
• Borman — 5 to 6 p.m.
• Cross Oaks — 6 to 7 p.m.
• Evers Park — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• Ginnings — 5:30 to 7 p.m.
• Hawk — 6 to 7 p.m.
• Houston — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (first through fifth grade)
• Lee — 6 to 7 p.m.
• McNair — 5 to 6 p.m.
• Nelson — 6 to 7 p.m.
• Newton Rayzor — 6 to 7 p.m. (kindergarten and first grade only)
• Paloma Creek — 6 to 7 p.m.
• Pecan Creek — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (kindergarten); 6 to 7 p.m. (first through fifth grade)
• Providence — 5 to 6 p.m. (kindergarten); 6 to 7 p.m. (first through fifth grade)
• E.P. Rayzor — 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
• Rivera — 6 to 7 p.m.
• Savannah — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• Stephens — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 24
• Hodge — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• Ryan — 5:15 to 7 p.m.
• Stephens — 5:30 to 6:15, followed by hot dog supper for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten only
• Wilson — 6 to 7 p.m.
