380 Back-2-School Kickoff slated for Aug. 19
The Denton school district will host its seventh annual 380 Back-2-School Bash on Aug. 19 for families who live in the 380 Corridor.
The event will start at 7 p.m. at Navo Middle School, 1701 Navo Road in the Paloma Creek area.
According to a district media release, the back-to-school event is a chance for families in the area to get reconnected with school staff, administrators and local businesses.
Visitors can view design plans and a video presentation for the district’s fourth comprehensive high school. The new school is slated to open in 2016 at the corner of Navo Road and U.S. Highway 380 in the Paloma Creek area.
The event will include bounce houses, games and food from local restaurants for a minimal fee, district spokeswoman Sharon Cox said. Tickets will be sold for 50 cents apiece, or 22 tickets for $10.
All proceeds will go toward the general activity funds for the five Denton schools in the 380 Corridor.
