Denton will have a public hearing Feb. 21 on the city's bicycle and pedestrian accommodation plan.
The hearing will be part of the City Council's regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 215 E. McKinney St.
The plan takes stock of existing conditions for bicyclists and pedestrians, suggests roadway design standards and offers short- and long-term goals for adding more bike lanes and other accommodations.
The Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously endorsed the plan in December.
The council earmarked $200,000 to start implementing the plan in the current budget year, including $100,000 in county matching funds.
