Police are investigating the theft of 10 metal panels Sunday for a loss of about $500.
The manager of a business in the 1200 block of South Loop 288 reported that a customer bought several of the panels at about 5 p.m.
The same customer returned about 8:30 p.m., saying he believed he had left a pocket knife near the panels.
When the customer and an employee walked to the area where the panels were stored, they discovered that in the interim someone had come into the area, cut metal ties holding a group of the panels together and had taken 10.
