A new roof will be installed at Dyer Elementary School during spring break, according to Krum school officials.
Spring break is scheduled for March 19-23. Work on the roof is expected to be completed before students return for classes March 26, said Chelbie Birdwell, the district spokeswoman.
The re-roofing project will be done by Fort Worth-based DK Haney Roofing. Inc., which has done previous projects for the district, she said.
School board members met earlier this month to approve the project, which is not to exceed $65,000.The project is being funded with monies from the district’s general fund, Birdwell said.
