A man stopped at a truck stop in Denton for a couple hours and when he returned to his car, several items were missing, he reported to Denton police.

The man was moving to Texas with his fiancé who was in a different car, he told police.

The man decided to stop in Denton at 9 p.m., and when he returned to his car at 11 p.m., his television was missing, but he decided it was no big deal, so he didn’t call police, according to the report.

When he was unpacking on Saturday, he noticed $4,800 in cash was missing along with some of his fiancé’s jewelry, the man reported.

There were a lot of items stacked on top of the suitcase holding these items in the car, he reported, which is why he didn’t notice them missing earlier.

Other reports

5300 block of East McKinney Street — A woman reported to Denton police that her motorcycle was stolen Saturday night for the second time in two days.

The motorcycle was first stolen on Friday, and the woman found it early Saturday behind a storage building next to her house, she told police.

The battery was dead and she had removed the fuse so it wouldn’t start, she reported.

The cover for the motorcycle and the chain used to secure it was lying on the ground where the motorcycle had been, the report stated, but the lock was missing.
