The Denton County Transportation Authority is making some small tweaks to its A-train schedule beginning Monday.
As Dallas Area Rapid Transit opens the Orange Line, a light rail with service to Irving, it will need to share track with the Green Line, necessitating a change for DCTA.
“We have had to make some minor tweaks to our current schedule to change some connections at Trinity Mills,” said Dee Leggett, DCTA’s vice president of communications and planning. “They are minor tweaks to arrival and departure times at Trinity Mills to accommodate the change in DART connections.”
More A-train schedule changes are set for August. Those will be the first of the two routinely scheduled changes carried out by DCTA. Leggett said the schedule change was designed to coincide with the new DART Green Line schedule, which adds midday rail service.
The agency will have an event Aug. 18 to celebrate community support, the new schedule and having all of its Swiss-made Stadler rail cars in operation, Leggett said.
Both schedules are online at www.dcta.net .
