Investigators from Corinth police and the Texas Department of Transportation are assessing damage to the Corinth Parkway bridge over Interstate 35E after it was struck shortly before noon by an 18-wheeler.
A representative from the Corinth police said about 1 p.m. that the bridge is closed in both directions and one northbound lane of the Interstate is shut down. After the assessment is finished a decision will be made about re-opening the bridge to traffic.
