8 a.m. to noon — “Caregiver Conference of Denton County: Better Health for the Family Caregiver” at the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, 306 N. Loop 288. Speakers will include gerontologist Andy Crocker, with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, and Geri Sams, a geriatric care manager. Free and open to the public. 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Carter BloodCare blood drive at Veracity Research Company Investigations, 111 Dallas St. in Argyle. Lunch will be provided for donors.

8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. — American Red Cross blood drive at Sanger High School, 100 Indian Lane in Sanger. Donors must have generally good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and be at least 17 years old (16 with a parental consent form). 9:30 a.m. — Mother Goose Time at North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St. Stories and activities for infants (birth to 18 months) and their caregivers. Free. Call 940-349-8752.

10 a.m. — Serve Denton groundbreaking ceremony for the new Wheeler Center, 821 N. Elm St., which will create rent-free, shared office space for four nonprofit organizations, a nonprofit health clinic and a homeless shelter for women and children. Visit www.servedenton.org .

11 a.m. — Story Time at North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St. Stories, songs, puppets and more for children ages 1-5 and their caregivers. Call 940-349-8752.

7:30 p.m. — Denton Community Theatre presents Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw at the Campus Theatre, 214 W. Serenity Al-Anon, a support group for family and friends dealing with the effects of someone’s drinking, meets at noon at First United Methodist Church.
