Woman dies in three-vehicle crash

TIOGA -- A 31-year-old Tioga woman died in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday along U.S. Highway 377.

Misty Williams was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred around 7 a.m. Tuesday, south of Tioga, according to a statement released by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Troopers reported that Williams was struck head-on after another woman, traveling in a 2012 Chrysler 300 north on U.S. 377, crossed the center line on the two-lane strip of road and collided with the vehicle.

A third vehicle struck Williams’ vehicle from the side, according to the DPS.

The driver colliding head-on with Williams was transported to a Plano hospital in critical condition,the DPS reports.

A woman driving the third vehicle was also transported to Plano and was in stable condition while her male passenger was transported to a Denton hospital in stable condition, troopers said.
