Denton police seeking help with aggravated robbery cases

Denton police are asking residents to be on the lookout for anyone believed to have been involved in a couple of recent aggravated robberies.

In two separate incidents, a man approached a woman sitting alone in her vehicle at an apartment complex parking lot around midnight, armed with a handgun, according to a news release.

The first incident at 11:53 p.m. on October 9 occurred at 2601 W. Oak St. at the Uptown Apartments. The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years of age, 6 feet tall with a thin build, short hair and clean shaven.

The second incident was reported at 12:17 a.m. Monday at 201 Coronado Dr. at the Country Place Apartments. The suspect description included a black male, age 20 to 25, 5 feet 9 inches tall, heavy set or thick build with short hair and clean shaven.

Police say the suspect in each case demanded cash from the victims. Anyone with information can call Investigator Keith Smith at 940-349-7912.
