Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Denton will give a part of every purchase customers make to Calhoun Middle School all day on Saturday. Customers can participate by presenting a book fair voucher or mentioning the book fair to the cashier.

The book fair ends at the close of the business day on Nov. 2. Barnes & Noble is located in Golden Triangle Mall, at 2201 S. I-35E.

Events for the book fair on Saturday will be: Halloween story time with special guest, Biscuit, at 11 a.m.; a book-signing by Jason Henderson, author of the popular teen series Alex Van Helsing from 1 to 3 p.m.

A costume contest will begin at 5 p.m., along with trick-or-treating in the mall. There will be a final Spooky Story time at the bookstore at 7 p.m.

The book fair will help Calhoun Middle School fund programs, and it will help teachers and staff members provide needed titles for the school’s library and classrooms. Book fair supporters will be able to purchase needed books from an in-store wish list.
