4 to 6 p.m. — “Safe Spook” sponsored by the Sanger Area Chamber of Commerce. Trick-or-treating for children on the Sanger square and at participating businesses. Call 940-458-7702.

Denton Haunts Ghost Tour 90-minute walking tours of the downtown Square area, starting at the gravesite of John B. Denton on the Courthouse on the Square lawn. Tours at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. are scheduled through Saturday. 7:30 p.m. tours led by Doc Treat, 9 p.m. tours led by Shelly Tucker. Cost is $10. Not recommended for children younger than 10. Wednesday — NCTC presents Night of the Living Dead in the Outside Box Theater at NCTC’s First State Bank Center for the Performing Arts, on West California Street at Bonner Road in Gainesville. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for youths, free for NCTC students with ID. The 6 p.m. Saturday performance will be a Zombie Dinner performance; tickets are $15 and include a lecture by Kyle Bishop. For reservations, call 940-668-3355.

6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31 — “Zombie Trick or Treat” presented by the NCTC Drama Department, in the lobby of the First State Bank Center for the Performing Arts in Gainesville, on West California Street at Bonner Road in Gainesville. Call 940-668-3355.
