Briefly in the area: Lewisville Balloon release ceremony today

A balloon release ceremony to raise awareness of sexual and domestic abuse is planned at 10 a.m. Saturday at Medical Center of Lew­isville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles St.

The ceremony will feature speakers and a moment of silence for victims.
