The Classroom Faculty Office Building on the Texas Woman’s University campus was closed Friday because of flooding from a sprinkler system failure.
“Thursday, an elbow joint in the sprinkler system on the 13th floor of [the] CFO failed and flooded major components of the building,” Robert Neely, provost and vice president of academic affairs, said in a message to TWU faculty and staff.
Those who work in the building were told not to report to work until the facility is opened, Neely wrote.
A restoration company was evaluating the situation Friday.
TWU is unsure when the building will reopen.
