Some government offices will close early Monday and remain closed Tuesday in recognition of the New Year’s holidays.
County government offices will be closed Tuesday, and the U.S. Postal Service will not deliver mail Tuesday.
The Denton Record-Chronicle offices will be closed at noon Monday and all day Tuesday. To reach the circulation department, call 940-566-6836.
In Denton, all libraries will be closed at 6 p.m. Monday. They will resume regular hours Wednesday.
The Goldfield Tennis Center and McMath Middle School will be closed Monday and Tuesday. The Denton Senior Center will close early, at 5 p.m. Monday. Other Denton recreation centers will close at 6 p.m. Monday, including the Natatorium, Denia Recreation Center, Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center, and North Lakes Recreation Center.
The American Legion Hall and Denton Civic Center will be open regular business hours Monday.
There will be no curbside trash, recycling, or yard waste collection Tuesday. The Tuesday route will be collected Wednesday; Wednesday’s route will be collected Thursday, and Thursday’s route will be picked up Friday. The City of Denton Landfill at ECO-W.E.R.C.S will be closed today and will resume normal business hours Wednesday. Check www.dentonrecycles.com for current schedule information.

The utility customer service offices will be closed Tuesday and will reopen Wednesday. To report a utility service emergency, call utilities dispatch at 940-349-7000.
The Denton Airport administrative offices will be closed Tuesday and will re-open Wednesday. The air traffic control tower will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the airfield will remain open 24 hours per day. Flight services will be available from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the holiday.
