The Ponder school board has extended Superintendent Bruce Yeager’s contract one year.

The extension takes Yeager’s contract into 2015, school board President Vangee Deussen said. The board voted 7-0 on Jan. 17 to extend the contract.

While Yeager’s salary was discussed by the board, no action was taken during the meeting, Deussen said.

“He declined any raise at this time,” she said.

Deussen said the board will discuss Yeager’s salary later in the year when it looks to prepare its 2013-14 budget.

Yeager has served as superintendent of Ponder schools since 2005.
