Blotter: Man reports theft

Officers responded to a burglary call in the 1100 block of Vine Street at 10 p.m. Thursday, according to Denton police.

The victim, according to reports, said someone kicked in the back door of his apartment the night before and stole a television and a laptop. Police said the victim, in his 20s, couldn’t provide leads on a suspect or serial numbers for the missing items.

Denton police said the apartment looked like it had been ransacked, but numerous valuable items had not been taken.

5000 block of Cardinal Court — A man alleged Thursday morning that his ex-wife is using his personal information without his permission, according to reports.

A fraudulent use or possession of identifying information report was made, according to Denton County sheriff’s department reports.

10000 block of Osburn Road — A woman filed a theft report by phone Thursday evening, sheriff’s department officials said, alleging that household items valued at more than $1,900 had been taken from her residence.

Items reported as missing included a toaster, a set of towels, a mattress and box springs and bed frame, according to reports.

From 7 a.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday:

•  Denton County sheriff’s dispatchers handled 729 service and officer-initiated calls for the agencies they serve. Thirty-five people were booked into Denton County Jail.

•  Denton police officers responded to 318 service and officer-initiated calls and posted 18 reports online.

•  Denton firefighters responded to one building fire, 19 medical calls, one unauthorized burn, one gas or other flammable liquid spill, one excessive heat/scorch burns with no ignition and one active alarm call.

•  Lewisville police made 16 arrests.

Argyle firefighters responded to one alarm fire, one carbon monoxide or hazmat call, assisted one citizen, responded to one illegal burn, one traffic transport incident and three medical calls. Argyle police responded to five traffic calls, one vehicle complaint and assisted one motorist.

Aubrey firefighters responded to one assault/sexual assault, three medical calls and one odor investigation. Aubrey police officers assisted two agencies and responded to one assault/sexual assault, two follow-up investigations, one forgery/fraud and four traffic calls.

Bartonville police officers responded to three traffic calls and one traffic complaint.

Double Oak firefighters assisted one citizen. Double Oak Police officers assisted one agency and responded to one follow-up investigation, one suspicious person and four traffic calls.

Hickory Creek police officers assisted one agency and responded to one verbal disturbance, two suspicious activity calls, one theft report and 17 traffic calls.

Justin firefighters responded to one medical call. Justin police officers responded to one assault/sexual assault call, one criminal mischief in progress call, one follow-up investigation, one suspicious vehicle, one traffic transport and one audible alarm call.

Krum firefighters responded to one animal bite, one grass fire, one structure fire and one medical call. Krum police officers responded to one auto theft in progress, two noise complaints, four traffic calls, one welfare concern and one traffic transport.

Krugerville police officers assisted two agencies, responded to one follow-up investigation, one gunshots heard report, one harassment report and seven traffic calls.

Lake Cities firefighters responded to one water main break, three traffic transports and three medical calls.

Little Elm firefighters responded to one carbon monoxide or hazmat call, one vehicle unlock, six medical calls and assisted one citizen. Little Elm police officers responded to one carbon monoxide or hazmat call, one criminal mischief in progress, two criminal trespass in progress, one criminal trespass report, four disturbance calls, three follow-up investigations, two forgery/fraud reports, one loose livestock call, assisted one motorists, responded to three medical calls, one reckless driver, seven suspicious activity calls, two theft reports, 30 traffic calls, two welfare concerns, one traffic transport and two animal complaints.

Oak Point police responded to one audible alarm call, one criminal mischief report, three follow-up investigations, one ordinance violation, two suspicious activity calls, one traffic call and one animal complaint.

Ponder firefighters responded to one animal bite attack and one structure fire. Ponder police officers responded to one animal bite attack and one animal bite report.

Pilot Point firefighters responded to one grass fire and one traffic transport. Pilot Point police officers assisted two agencies and responded to one criminal mischief report, one follow-up investigation, one harassment report, one prowler call, one suspicious activity call and one traffic call.

Sanger firefighters responded to five medical calls, two grass fires and one stabbing/

gunshot call. Sanger police officers assisted two agencies and two motorists and responded to three follow-up investigations, two medical calls, one reckless driver, two theft reports, five traffic calls, one animal complaint and one welfare concern.

Trophy Club police officers assisted one agency, responded to one follow-up investigation, two ordinance violations, one prowler, one road block, one solicitor complaints, two suspicious activity calls, five traffic calls, one medical call, one warrant service call and one welfare concern.
