The Denton County medical examiner and sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a man and a woman were found dead in a home in the 9200 block of Clear Drive about noon Monday.

Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Sandi Brackeen said sheriff’s deputies were called to the home after someone went to check on the residence after one of the victims had not shown up for work. The caller told dispatchers there was a smell of propane.

Firefighters had to air out the house before investigators could enter.

The body of Sandra Schultz, 49, was found in the shower and the body of Amrit Lall, 68, was found on the floor beside the shower.

There were no signs of violence or trauma to either victim, Brackeen said.

Denton County Medical Examiner Troy Taylor said he is also investigating the incident, and anticipates that an autopsy would likely show the victims were overcome by noxious gas inside the home.
