A 45-year-old nurse was attacked by a patient Friday night in a area hospital, reports state.
Police responded to an assault call at a hospital in the 3500 block of South Interstate 35E at nearly 8 p.m. after a patient allegedly grabbed a knife and swiped at a nurse, grazing her arm.
According to police reports, the suspect then raised the knife up over his shoulder and began to sit up and move toward the nurse as she tried to escape.
Police said the suspect was shut in his room until deputies arrived.
Records show no arrest was made and an aggravated assault report was taken.
500 block of North Bell Avenue — Police said a woman called for help after a man started making threats Friday night.
According to reports, a man she knows was threatening to kill her. She did not know if he was in the area, records show. After an investigation, police said they discovered the victim had an assault case against the man and a report for terroristic threat was taken.
1300 block of South Loop 288 — A 20-year-old reported his smartphone taken Friday morning. Police said the man alleged that he left his phone unattended at a gym and it was stolen. The value of the phone was not listed.
