Blotter: Man reports motorist allegedly rammed his car

A man called police after an angry motorist driving a white truck allegedly rammed his car Saturday night near the intersection of Interstate 35W and Oak Street, according to a police report.

The caller said that the truck followed closely behind his car, then attempted to pass. The man driving the truck made an unprovoked, offensive gesture as he passed, according to the report.

The caller told police that the driver of the truck then got very angry, started yelling and allegedly rammed the truck into the side of his car, the report stated.

The driver of the truck attempted to flee the scene with a blown front tire, but the caller followed him.

Officers arrived, arrested the driver of the truck and charged him with driving while intoxicated and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the police report.

1000 block of Kendolph Drive — An officer dispatched to a residence Saturday morning found that someone had kicked down the front door, according to a police report.

Several items inside the home were reported as stolen, according to the report. No arrests had been made at the time the report was filed.

600 block of West Eagle Drive — A caller reported that a man with a gun was firing the weapon at an apartment building Saturday night, according to a police report. A responding officer reported no injuries and one suspect was arrested, according to the police report.
