A Denton man managed to turn back a trio of suspects attempting to gain entry into his residence Thursday. According to the police report, the men tried to kick in the door of the home in the 1000 block of West Prairie Street.
Once the door was forced partially open, the resident managed to punch one of the men between the eyes, knocking him down, the report said. The men fled moments later, the report said.
2600 block of South Mayhill Road — Officers responded to a theft report of a car from the caller’s residence.
The caller said she was gone from her house for approximately two hours and in that time her car went missing from the driveway.
1700 block of Village East Drive — Officers were dispatched to a report of a suspect criminally trespassing at an apartment complex where he was pounding on a resident’s door.
Officers arrived on the scene and after investigating, the suspect was arrested.

Bartonville police responded to loose livestock call.
Corinth police responded to 121 calls including two ordinance violations, one road blockage hazard and two reports of suspicious vehicles.
Double Oak police responded to one cardiac arrest, two close patrols, six vacation watch calls and six traffic calls.
Hickory Creek police responded to three motorist assist calls, one report of a suspicious person and seven traffic calls.
Justin firefighters responded to two medical calls. Police assisted an agency and responded to two 911 hang-ups and one traffic call.
Krum firefighters responded to one report of a drowning person. Police assisted one agency, met with one complainant and responded to two close patrol calls, three ordinance violations, one report of suspicious activity and 12 traffic calls.
Krugerville police assisted one agency and responded to one harassment report.
Lake Cities firefighters responded to one carbon monoxide or hazardous materials call, one unknown fire, one traffic transport incident and three medical calls.
Little Elm firefighters responded to five medical calls, one animal bite report, two traffic transport incidents and one vehicle unlock. Police responded to 53 calls including one 911 hang-up, three noise complaints and one reckless driver.
Northlake police assisted one agency and responded to one criminal mischief report, one report of suspicious activity, one report of a suspicious vehicle, one report of a terroristic threat and 14 traffic calls.
Oak Point firefighters responded to three medical calls. Police responded to seven traffic calls and one reckless driver.
Ponder firefighters responded to one report of a person drowning.
Pilot Point firefighters responded to three medical calls and an electrical fire.
Sanger firefighters responded to a medical call and a grass fire. Police responded to 20 calls including a report of a burglary, a noise complaint and three reports of suspicious vehicles.
Trophy Club firefighters responded to one alarm fire. Police responded to 22 calls including one criminal mischief report, two ordinance violations and three traffic calls.
