Officials report that a Frisco man went missing on Lewisville Lake early Sunday afternoon after he fell from an inner tube that he was riding on.
Game Warden Logan Griffin said the man and his two children were being pulled by a boat driven by the man’s wife.
The two children, who were wearing life jackets, were recovered safely, but the husband apparently went under, Griffin said.
Griffin said the man, who was not wearing a life jacket, went under near Hidden Cove, which is on the eastern half of the lake. He said the man disappeared in an area where there are a lot of stumps and other natural barriers.
“Unfortunately, the area is not very conducive for sonar usage, which makes the search more difficult,” he said.
This is the second person to go missing on the lake this weekend. A 33-year-old Dallas County man was reported missing Friday night.
The Dallas County man — who has yet to be identified — went off a double-decker party boat he was on with his family near The Colony at Pier 121 Marina, Game Warden Daron Blackerby said.
Blackerby said the man wasn’t wearing a life jacket.
Texas Parks and Wildlife, along with Lewisville Fire Department divers, were on the scene searching for the man Friday night and Saturday morning, and the search continued on Sunday.
