Lewisville Fire Chief Tim Tittle said several surrounding agencies battled a house blaze at the Lakes at Castle Hills community Saturday morning.
The call came in at 1:50 a.m. Saturday after reports of heavy smoke were showing from a 9,000-square-foot house in the 2600 block of Round Table Boulevard, officials said.
Carrollton and Lewisville fire departments were the first on the scene and reported the entire second story of the home was on fire.
“They went into the structure to make an interior attack, but part of the back structure started to collapse,” Tittle said. “They exited and the fire was quickly called from a two- to a three- and then four-alarm fire.”
The Colony, Farmers Branch, Highland Village, Lake Cities, Coppell, Flower Mound and Grapevine firefighters also assisted, officials said.
Tittle said the home was unoccupied at the time of the fire, as the owners were completing renovations.
Denton County Fire Marshal Jody Gonzalez said the home was a total loss and the estimated home value was just under $2 million.
Gonzalez said there were no injuries and he had yet to determine an exact cause of the fire at press time.
