Someone called police early Saturday to report a fight that the caller said involved between 20 and 40 people, according to a police report.
The alleged brawl occurred in the 500 block of Inman Street.
By the time officers arrived, the fight had apparently ended and few people were found, according to the police report.
However, officers arrested three people between the age of 19 and 20, the report stated. The charges included public intoxication, assault and consumption of alcohol by a minor.
The case is still open and under investigation, according to the police report.
1100 block of East University Drive — Officers were standing outside a local business early Saturday when a “disturbance erupted” inside of the location, according to the police report.
A man left the business with blood running down his face, according to the police report.
The man told the officers that he had just been assaulted by another man inside the business.
Officers located the suspect and after an investigation, the officers arrested the suspect for assault causing bodily injury, the report stated.
2700 block of North Locust Street — An officer was dispatched in reference to a report about a reckless driver near the intersection of Coronado Drive and North Locust Street early Saturday.
The officer reported that a small, red Chevrolet pickup was traveling the wrong way on Locust Street and almost hit him head on, according to a police report.
The officer was able to pull the vehicle over, and the driver was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and marijuana possession, and the passenger also was arrested and charged with public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance, the report stated.
The case was closed by arrest, according to the report.
2200 block of South Interstate 35E — A woman at a local restaurant reported Saturday evening that someone stole her cellphone after she went to use the restroom, according to a police report. Officers documented the incident and the case is still open and pending investigation.
