Flower Mound police said an investigation is underway on a two-vehicle crash that resulted in one death Wednesday night.

Christopher Dibble, a 30-year-old Flower Mound resident, was pronounced dead by the medical examiner on the scene at 7:30 p.m.

The incident, police said, occurred at 7:20 p.m. in the 3000 block of Dixon Lane and involved a 2010 Kia Forte and a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Police said the preliminary investigation showed Dibble, the driver of the Kia, lost control of his vehicle after he hit the back of the Jeep.

The driver of the Jeep was not injured.

Police said the Kia rolled and collided with an electric utility pole on the north side of Dixon Lane and that was what lead to Dibble’s death.

A toxicology report is pending on Dibble, according to the medical examiner’s office.
