Blotter: Man hospitalized after altercation

A 22-year-old Denton man was transported to an area hospital after he was discovered bleeding at a gas station Thursday afternoon, officials said.

Denton police said they responded to an injured person call in the 1900 block of Fort Worth Drive shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday after an employee of the gas station reported that man fainted in the store and started bleeding from the mouth.

After the man was transported to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, police said they were able to find out what happened.

According to reports, the man told police he got into an argument with his cousin, who allegedly struck him several times with his fist, breaking his lower jaw.

An investigation is ongoing, police said.

1300 block Providence Boulevard — A Providence Village man alleged that his back door was kicked in Thursday night. Denton County Sheriff’s Office reports show a man said that not only was his back door kicked in but someone looked through his belongings. No items were listed as missing, records show.

1900 Bernard Street — A 24-year-old Little Elm woman reported that her friend took her cellphone, Denton police said. According to reports, the complainant said she was assaulted by her friend before she took her cellphone Thursday afternoon and that she wanted to file a report with the police.

Aubrey firefighters responded to two medical calls, one carbon monoxide or hazardous materials call, one structure fire and two traffic transport incidents. Aubrey police assisted one agency, one motorist and responded to one suspicious vehicle, eight traffic calls, one traffic transport incident and one missing person.

Bartonville police assisted one agency and responded to one roadblock and one traffic call.

Corinth police assisted seven agencies and responded to one criminal trespass report, one medical call, two disturbance calls, one report of gunshots heard, one indecent exposure call, two suspicious activity calls, 15 traffic calls, three welfare concerns, two thefts and two traffic transport incidents.

Double Oak police assisted two agencies and responded to one roadblock, two suspicious activities and two traffic calls.

Flower Mound firefighters responded to one smoke investigation and one welfare concern.

Hickory Creek police assisted two agencies, one motorist and responded to one reckless driver, one theft and 10 traffic calls.

Justin firefighters responded to one medical call. Justin police assisted one agency and responded to five traffic calls.

Krum firefighters responded to two medical calls and assisted one citizen. Krum police assisted one agency, one motorist and responded to one traffic call, one welfare concern and two animal complaints.

Lake Cities firefighters responded to one carbon monoxide call, three medical calls, one welfare concern, one grass fire, one vehicle fire and assisted one citizen.

Lewisvlle police made nine arrests.

Little Elm firefighters responded to five medical calls, one odor investigation, one traffic transport incident and assisted two citizens. Little Elm police responded to one burglary, four disturbance calls, one fight, three reports of loose livestock, two medical calls, nine traffic calls, two thefts, six traffic transport incidents, two animal complaints and assisted one motorist and one agency.

North East police assisted one agency, one motorist and responded to one disturbance call, one ordinance violation, one reckless driver, one theft report and eight traffic calls.

Northlake police assisted two agencies and responded to one intoxicated person and 13 traffic calls.

Oak Point firefighters responded to one smoke investigation and one traffic transport incident. Oak Point police responded to two traffic calls, one traffic transport incident and one prowler call.

Ponder firefighters responded to two medical calls. Ponder police responded to one traffic call.

Pilot Point firefighters responded to four medical calls. Pilot Point police assisted one agency and responded to one reckless driver, three suspicious activity calls, two thefts and one animal complaint.

Sanger firefighters responded to four medical calls. Sanger police responded to two reckless drivers, one harassment call, one suspicious activity call, four traffic calls, one welfare concern, one traffic transport incident and one animal complaint.

The Colony firefighters responded to three medical calls, one vehicle fire and assisted one agency.

Trophy Club police responded to two disturbance calls, one roadblock, seven traffic calls, one welfare concern and one traffic transport incident.
