Blotter: Man assaulted during reported robbery

A 39-year-old Denton man suffered head and arm injuries after being struck during a reported robbery Monday night.

The man told police he was in a small, dark, two-door vehicle with two other men when he was robbed of cash, according to reports.

The man was able to get out of the car but was then assaulted, reports show.

Officer Ryan Grelle, spokesman for Denton police, said the man wasn’t transported by an ambulance but did suffer injuries in the 4200 block of Mesa Drive shortly before midnight Monday. Details were not available about why the man may have gotten into the vehicle or if he knew the suspects.

2300 block of West University Drive — A Mesquite telecom business reported that a trailer was stolen from a construction site on West University Drive over the weekend. A 2001 Spol-Vac brand trailer was reported missing.

2000 block of Sadau Court — An area business reported that a gift card was purchased with counterfeit money recently, police said. According to reports, a $200 gift card was purchased with $220 worth of fake $20 bills.

Argyle police assisted one agency and two motorists and responded to one intoxicated person, six suspicious activity calls, 25 traffic calls, one welfare concern, two traffic transport incidents and one animal complaint.

Aubrey firefighters responded to two assaults or sexual assaults, one hay fire, one smoke investigation, 12 medical calls and one traffic transport incident. Aubrey police assisted two agencies and responded to one noise complaint, one reckless driver, two suspicious vehicles, 57 traffic calls, one traffic transport incident and one animal complaint.

Bartonville police responded to one traffic call and one traffic transport incident.

Corinth police assisted seven motorists and responded to one assault, one burglary, one criminal mischief report, one fight in progress, one vehicle fire, one disturbance call, two forgery calls, one harassment report, 10 suspicious activities calls, 14 animal complaints, 52 traffic calls, two traffic complaints and four theft reports.

Double Oak police responded to one burglary, one domestic disturbance, 15 traffic calls, one burglary in progress, one traffic transport incident and one animal complaint.

Flower Mound firefighters responded to one structure fire.

Hickory Creek police assisted 10 agencies and four motorists and responded to one burglary, one vehicle fire, two reckless drivers, one theft, one medical call, one structure fire, two welfare concerns and one animal complaint.

Justin firefighters responded to one unknown fire, one grass fire, one structure fire, one traffic transport incident, one assault or sexual assault and four medical calls. Justin police responded to one structure fire, two disturbance calls, one forgery report, two medical calls, five suspicious activity calls, 27 traffic calls, one traffic transport incident and one intoxicated person.

Krum firefighters responded to six medical calls, one structure fire and two traffic transports. Krum police assisted four agencies and three motorists and responded to one burglary, one disturbance, one fight in progress, one missing person, one ordinance violation, three suspicious activity calls, 22 traffic calls, three traffic transport incidents and two animal complaints.

Lake Cities firefighters responded to 22 medical calls, one illegal burn, one controlled burn, two vehicle fires, one animal bite attack, seven traffic transport incidents and two carbon monoxide or hazardous materials calls.

Lewisville police made eight arrests.

Little Elm firefighters responded to two medical calls, one animal bite attack, one assault or sexual assault, two traffic transport incidents, one structure fire, one vehicle fire and 12 medical calls. Little Elm police assisted one agency and responded to two assaults, one criminal trespass in progress, two disturbance calls, two forgery calls, one missing person, two narcotics calls, six noise complaints, two ordinance violations, six reckless drivers, four roadblocks, 11 suspicious activity calls, 63 traffic calls, four welfare concerns, nine animal complaints and five traffic transport incidents.

North East police assisted four agencies and two motorists and responded to one gun shot heard, one ordinance violation, one roadblock, five suspicious activities, two thefts, 32 traffic calls, three traffic transport incidents and three animal complaints.

Northlake police assisted 11 agencies, two motorists and responded to one disturbance call, one medical call, one loose livestock call, two reckless drivers, 45 traffic calls, one welfare call and two animal complaints.

Oak Point firefighters responded to one assault or sexual assault, one grass fire, one illegal burn and four medical calls. Oak Point police assisted one agency and responded to one criminal mischief call, two disturbance calls, one grass fire, three medical calls, two thefts, eight traffic calls and one welfare concern.

Ponder firefighters responded to two medical calls and responded to one illegal burn and one structure fire. Ponder police assisted three agencies and one motorist and responded to one reckless driver, three suspicious vehicle calls and 11 traffic calls.

Pilot Point firefighters responded to one illegal burn, one structure fire and one traffic transport incident and assisted five citizens. Pilot Point police responded to one criminal mischief report, one domestic disturbance, one noise complaint, one ordinance violation, 23 traffic calls, one traffic transport incident and assisted two agencies.

Sanger firefighters responded to five medical calls, four traffic transport incidents and one assault and assisted two citizens. Sanger police assisted four agencies and responded to one auto theft, one criminal trespass, four disturbance calls, one structure fire, one vehicle fire, two fireworks complaints, one gun shots heard, three reckless drivers, six suspicious activity calls, five traffic calls, three traffic transport incidents and six animal complaints.

The Colony firefighters responded to four motor vehicle accidents, 14 medical calls and assisted five agencies.
