SCREENING AT UNT
What: JFK50: Eyewitness to History, followed by a question-and-answer session with Hugh Aynesworth, a former reporter with The Dallas Morning News
When: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday
Where: UNT’s Gateway Center, 801 North Texas Blvd., Rooms 43/47
How much: Free. The screening is sponsored by The Dallas Morning News and the University of North Texas’ Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism.
Details: Aynesworth, who witnessed the shots being fired in Dealey Plaza and the capture, arrest and shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald, interviewed 27 key witnesses to history for the documentary. The film was produced by The Dallas Morning News, a sister publication of the Denton Record-Chronicle. The documentary will also air on KERA-TV (Channel 13) at 10 p.m. Monday.
DENTON LIBRARY EXHIBIT
What: Display of books, newspaper and magazine articles and other items related to the news of the Kennedy assassination
When: Through November, during regular library hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
