Blotter: Switching price tags leads to arrest

Denton police arrested a woman during a theft in progress at a business in the 1500 block of South Loop 288 late Saturday night.

The woman was taking price tags from cheap items in the store and placing them on more expensive items, according to the police report.

Officers arrested the woman for theft over $50 but under $500.

2800 block of Montecito Road A woman reported that someone rang her doorbell several times before trying to open the front door and then the back door of her residence early Sunday morning.

The caller told police she saw two silhouetted figures but couldn’t provide any identifying information, according to the police report.

Police found a beer bottle by the garage, which was collected for processing.

Argyle firefighters responded to four medical calls, one welfare concern call, two fire alarms and two carbon monoxide or hazardous materials calls. Argyle police responded to one harassment report, eight complaints, five suspicious person reports, one suspicious vehicle, two traffic transport incidents and 15 traffic calls.

Aubrey firefighters responded to one assault, seven medical calls, three structure fires, one fire alarm, one traffic transport incident and assisted one citizen. Aubrey police assisted one agency, responded to one fight in progress, one forgery fraud report, three suspicious vehicles, one welfare concern and 41 traffic calls.

Bartonville responded to eight traffic calls, one agency assist and one solicitor complaint.

Corinth police assisted five agencies and nine motorists and responded to one assault report, one criminal mischief in progress, one domestic disturbance, one structure fire, two reports of abandoned vehicles, two harassment reports, one suspicious person, one suspicious vehicle, one suspicious activity, two welfare concerns, one report of loose livestock and eight animal complaints.

Double Oak firefighters responded to one welfare concern. Double Oak police responded to four traffic calls, one suspicious activity report, one suspicious vehicle report and one welfare concern.

Hickory Creek police assisted two agencies and four motorists and responded to one theft report, one welfare concern, one suspicious vehicle and 12 traffic calls.

Justin firefighters responded to two grass fires and one medical call. Justin police responded to one harassment report, one report of an intoxicated person, one traffic transport incident and 10 traffic calls.

Krum firefighters responded to one fire alarm and five medical calls. Krum Police assisted two agencies and responded to two suspicious vehicles, one vehicle complaint, nine traffic calls and one animal cruelty report.

Lake Cities firefighters responded to 14 medical calls, six alarms, three structure fires and two traffic transport incidents.

Little Elm firefighters responded to three alarms, seven medical calls, one animal attack, two structure fires, four traffic transport incidents and assisted two citizens. Little Elm police assisted two agencies, responded to one assault, one burglary, one criminal trespass in progress, one criminal mischief report, six disturbances, one harassment report, two suspicious activity reports, one theft report, 31 traffic calls and five medical calls.

North East police assisted two agencies and responded to one fight in progress, two suspicious vehicles and 31 traffic calls.

Northlake police assisted one agency and responded to one carbon monoxide or hazardous materials call, one animal complaint, one traffic transport incident, five traffic calls and assisted two motorists.

Oak Point firefighters responded to two medical calls and two fire alarms. Oak Point police responded to one disturbance report, one report of suspicious activity, two suspicious vehicles, one welfare concern, one animal complaint, two traffic transport incidents and 13 traffic calls.

Ponder firefighters responded to one medical call. Ponder police assisted one motorist, responded to one welfare concern, 18 traffic calls and one traffic transport incident.

Pilot Point firefighters responded to four medical calls, one structure fire and one electrical fire. Pilot Point police assisted three agencies and responded to one burglary report, one criminal mischief report, two harassment reports, one narcotics report and one traffic call.

Sanger firefighters responded to three assaults, one medical call, one water main break, one report of downed power lines and assisted one citizen. Sanger police assisted one agency and one motorist and responded to one burglary in progress, two criminal mischief reports, one missing person report, one report of suspicious activity, one suspicious person, one theft and eight traffic calls.

The Colony firefighters responded to one structure fire.

Trophy Club firefighters responded to one structure fire, one fire alarm, one traffic transport incident and two medical calls. Trophy Club police assisted one agency and responded to one criminal mischief report, one harassment report, two reports of suspicious activity, one suspicious vehicle, one missing person report, two welfare concerns, six animal complaints and 26 traffic calls.
