Deputy constable still hospitalized after wreck

Denton County Deputy Constable Ken Fuller remains hospitalized following a one-vehicle accident Saturday night in Montague County.

Fuller was transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth for treatment for injures received in the crash.

Fuller’s girlfriend, Brandi Alexander, said early Monday morning that Fuller was not removed from the ventilator Sunday night because medical officials were ordering a neck and back brace for better mobility.

Fuller sustained a C-1 fracture — a fracture located right at the base of his skull — when he crashed his vehicle.

Fuller had been kept in a medically induced coma overnight Saturday to alleviate some of the pain from his injuries.

Precinct 1 Constable Jesse Flores said he spoke to Fuller’s family. They said he is doing better and that doctors were optimistic on his recovery.
