Commencement ceremonies begin today

Pomp and circumstance will be on display as commencement ceremonies for University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University graduates begin today.

This fall, 2,589 undergraduate students, 551 master’s students and 64 doctoral students applied for graduation from UNT. An estimated 817 undergraduate and 724 graduate degrees will be awarded by TWU.

UNT will hold graduations in its Coliseum. TWU will hold ceremonies today at at Kitty Magee Arena in Pioneer Hall. Here’s the schedule for the two schools.

Texas Woman’s University

9 a.m. today for the College of Arts and Sciences

1 p.m. today for the College of Professional Education and Department of Psychology and Philosophy

4 p.m. today for the School of Management, except Fashion and Textiles

10 a.m. Saturday for the Colleges of Nursing and Fashion and Textiles

2 p.m. Saturday for the College of Health Science graduates

University of North Texas

3 p.m. today for doctoral and master’s degree candidates

9 a.m. Saturday for the College of Arts and Sciences

1 p.m. Saturday for the College of Visual Arts and Design; Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism; the College of Merchandising, Hospitality and Tourism; the College of Music; and the College of Public Affairs and Community Service

5 p.m. Saturday for the College of Information, the College of Engineering, the College of Business and the College of Education.
