Blotter: Police arrest women after brief chase

After a brief chase Tuesday night, Denton police arrested a 26-year-old woman for breaking a hotel window and evading arrest.

According to Denton police reports, officers received a call after 10 p.m. in reference to a broken window at a hotel located at South Interstate 35E and Lillian Miller Parkway.

Police said that after the 26-year-old reportedly broke the window out, she stuck her arm though a room window, startling the occupants inside. Afterward, she went to her car and started honking the horn on her vehicle for several minutes before leaving.

Reports show the woman stopped at a busy intersection and fled when police arrived to help her. Police said she led officers on a chase through town before she was caught and charged with criminal mischief and evading arrest.

900 block of Lake Forest Drive — Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry was taken from a Denton County residence recently.

According to Denton County Sheriff Office reports, at least $9,000 of jewelry was reported missing about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

5300 block of East McKinney Street — Police were dispatched to Denton Regional Medical Center’s emergency room after a 23-year-old woman reported she wanted to press charges against her boyfriend and his roommates for injuring her.

According to Denton police reports, the woman was hit with unknown objects on Monday by her boyfriend and roommates.

Police said she had pain from injuries she sustained during the incident.

Denton County sheriff’s dispatchers handled 659 service and officer-initiated calls for the agencies they serve. Thirty-nine people were booked into Denton County Jail.

Denton firefighters responded to 17 medical calls, one cooking fire (contained) and one vehicle accident.

Aubrey firefighters responded to one medical call and one fire call. Aubrey police responded to 10 traffic calls, three traffic transport incidents and one suspicious activity call.

Bartonville police responded to one disturbance call and five traffic calls.

Corinth police responded to one child abuse call, two criminal mischief reports, one medical call, one forgery report, one terroristic threat report, 21 traffic calls, one welfare concern and one traffic transport incident.

Double Oak police responded to seven traffic calls.

Hickory Creek police responded to two thefts and 15 traffic calls.

Justin firefighters responded to one medical call. Justin police responded to one theft.

Krum firefighters responded one smoke investigation, one structure fire, one vehicle fire and two medical calls. Krum police responded to one assault, one smoke investigation, one loose livestock call, one reckless driver and two traffic calls.

Lake Cities firefighters responded to one vehicle fire, one traffic transport incident, three medical calls and one carbon monoxide or hazardous materials call.

Little Elm firefighters responded to one electrical fire and one medical call. Little Elm police responded to three burglaries, one Child Protective Services call, two harassment reports, one noise complaint, two ordinance violations, 27 traffic calls, one welfare concern, one traffic transport incident, one animal complaint and four suspicious activity calls.

Lewisville police made nine arrests.

Northeast police responded to one reckless driver and 15 traffic calls.

Northlake police responded to four traffic calls.

Oak Point firefighters responded to one structure fire. Oak Point police responded to one structure fire and two traffic calls.

Ponder firefighters responded to one structure fire and two medical calls. Ponder police responded to one reckless driver, one theft and one traffic call.

Pilot Point firefighters responded to one medical call and one traffic transport incident. Pilot Point police responded to five traffic calls, one traffic transport incident and one animal complaint.

Roanoke firefighters responded to one medical call.

Sanger firefighters responded to one assault, two medical calls, one structure fire and one vehicle fire. Sanger police responded to one reckless driver, one suspicious activity call, four traffic calls and one animal complaint.

The Colony firefighters responded to one vehicle fire, three medical calls and one grass fire.

Trophy Club firefighters responded to one medical call. Trophy Club police responded to two ordinance violations, one suspicious person, three traffic calls, two traffic complaints and one animal complaint.
