A pilot and passenger landed without incident at Denton Enterprise Airport after suffering problems with the landing gears, officials said.
The Piper Arrow plane — a single engine aircraft — was able to land using two of its landing gears, officials said.
A dozen Denton Firefighters had surrounded the runway at Denton Enterprise Airport in preparation for the emergency landing Wednesday evening.
Lindsey Baker, spokeswoman for the city of Denton, said the call was received at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
“Fortunately, in the end there was a good outcome to the story,” Baker said.
The Federal Aviation Administration cleared the incident and the craft was removed from the runway by 6 p.m., officials said.
