Blotter: Woman’s appearance prompts call to police

A woman who appeared to be “drunk, high or crazy” was reported to police Monday morning in the 2200 block of Colorado Boulevard, according to Denton police reports.

Officers located the woman outside an apartment building, and they were allowed to go inside her apartment, where they reported finding a controlled substance and a felon in possession of a firearm. A 32-year-old man and 28-year-old woman were arrested on the charges and brought to the city jail.

Other reports

1800 block of Brinker Road — A 57-year-old Dallas woman called police Monday morning to report that her husband had intentionally hurt her. The incident happened on Brinker Road 18 months ago, the woman reported, and her right arm was fractured.

600 block of Forest Trail — A woman reported someone committed fraud Monday afternoon using her banking information. According to reports, someone tried to withdraw money from the woman’s checking account.

Denton County sheriff’s dispatchers handled 818 service and officer-initiated calls for the agencies they serve, and 42 people were booked into Denton County Jail.

Denton police handled 249 service and officer-initiated calls and posted 11 reports online.

Denton firefighters responded to 24 medical calls and three vehicle accidents, assisted two agencies and made one public service call.

Argyle police responded to 14 traffic calls, one traffic transport incident, one suspicious person call, one prowler, one criminal mischief report, and assisted one agency and one motorist.

Aubrey firefighters responded to one assault, one structure fire and eight medical calls.

Bartonville police responded to one traffic call and one traffic transport incident.

Corinth police responded to one burglary, one grass fire, one suspicious activity call, 24 traffic calls, three welfare concerns and four animal complaints and assisted three agencies.

Double Oak police assisted one agency and responded to one welfare concern and seven traffic calls.

Flower Mound firefighters responded to one vehicle fire and one carbon monoxide or hazardous materials call.

Hickory Creek police assisted one agency and responded to one suspicious activity call, one theft report, 24 traffic calls, one welfare concern and one traffic transport incident.

Justin firefighters responded to one smoke investigation and one grass fire. Justin police responded to one disturbance call, one grass fire, one report of gunshots heard, one traffic call, one traffic transport incident and one animal bite report.

Krum firefighters responded to one carbon monoxide or hazardous materials call. Krum police responded to one disturbance call, one noise complaint, one theft report, four traffic calls, one traffic complaint and one animal complaint and assisted one motorist.

Lake Cities firefighters responded to three medical calls, one grass fire, one structure fire, one vehicle fire and two unknown fires.

Lewisville police made 10 arrests.

Little Elm firefighters responded to one structure fire, two traffic transport incidents, one carbon monoxide or hazardous materials call and three medical calls. Little Elm police responded to one burglary, one domestic disturbance, two forgery reports, one noise complaint, six ordinance violations, one reckless driver, three suspicious activity calls, 10 traffic calls, one traffic complaint, one vehicle complaint, two welfare concerns, two traffic transport incidents and one animal complaint.

Northeast police responded to one theft call and 30 traffic calls and assisted one agency and three motorists.

Northlake police assisted one agency and responded to one disturbance call, one forgery/fraud report, one person with a gun, one prowler, one suspicious activity call and four traffic calls.

Oak Point firefighters responded to one medical call. Oak Point police assisted one agency and responded to one fireworks complaint, one medical call, one ordinance violation and seven traffic calls.

Ponder firefighters assisted two citizens and responded to one carbon monoxide or hazardous materials call. Ponder police assisted two agencies and responded to one animal complaint.

Pilot Point firefighters responded to six medical calls and one illegal burn. Pilot Point police responded to one narcotics call, 13 traffic calls, one welfare concern, one accident and one traffic transport incident and assisted one agency.

Sanger firefighters responded to three medical calls. Sanger police responded to one burglary, one noise complaint, one reckless driver, three suspicious activities, nine traffic calls, one welfare concern, one traffic transport incident and one animal complaint and assisted two agencies.

The Colony firefighters responded to six medical calls and one electrical short.

Trophy Club firefighters responded to one structure fire. Trophy Club police responded to one ordinance violation, two traffic calls and one animal complaint.
