The Texas Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities presents the event, which honors journalists for work that accurately and positively reports on individuals with disabilities. 5:30 to 8 p.m. — 25th annual Taste of North Texas, benefiting the Denton Kiwanis Club Children’s Clinic and UNT Athletics, at the UNT Coliseum, at North Texas Boulevard and Highland Street. Event includes samples from more than 30 restaurants, caterers and other vendors. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, military and students, free for children 5 and younger.
