Officials believe 3-year-old's drowning in pool accidental

An investigation is underway after a three-year-old Denton boy drowned at his home in the 4500 block of Indian Paint Way Tuesday afternoon.

Isaac Guevremont’s mother was performing CPR on the child when emergency personnel arrived to find him unresponsive after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Officer Ryan Grelle, spokesman for Denton police, said the boy drowned in a pool at his home.

Upon emergency crews’ arrival, advanced life-saving measures were taken before he was transported to Denton Regional Medical Center.

The child was pronounced dead at the hospital roughly an hour after first responders were dispatched, officials said.

He was still pending an autopsy as of late Wednesday afternoon.

“At this time it appears to be just a terrible accident,” Grelle said.
