A 36-year-old woman remains in critical condition in Plano following a two-car accident Monday morning on FM2181 in Corinth.
The accident occurred at 8:55 a.m. in the 2100 block of FM2181, officials said.
While traveling west, the woman lost control of her vehicle and struck another vehicle heading east, said Greg Wilkerson, assistant chief with the Corinth Police Department. The woman was ejected from her vehicle during the accident, officials said.
She was transported by air ambulance to the Medical Center of Plano. The driver of the second vehicle, a 48-year-old woman, was taken by ambulance to Denton Regional Medical Center and released late Monday.
Wilkerson said that the road was closed from the time of the accident until a little before 1 p.m. due to the severity of the injuries and work of the accident investigation team to conduct accident mapping and marking over the pavement.
