The Denton County Transportation Authority is offering a special pass to help parents get their kids out of the house for some summer fun.

DCTA’s Summer Youth Pass provides riders ages 5 to 18 unlimited access to the Denton and Lewisville Connect buses, Connect RSVP, UNT Shuttle and trips on the A-train all summer long.

This special pass costs $30 and is valid from June 1 through Aug. 31.

This is the seventh year DCTA has offered the pass, which provides local youth with an affordable and convenient option for transportation independence during the summer and exposes youth to the value of alternative transportation.

Passengers 14 to 18 years old are required to have a valid high school or DCTA-issued ID.

Popular destinations along DCTA routes include movie theaters, malls, shopping centers, pools, libraries, bowling lanes and more. For a complete list of A-train and Connect bus routes, go to www.RideDCTA.net.

Summer Youth Passes can be purchased at the Euline Brock Downtown Denton Transit Center, Lewisville City Hall, Highland Village City Hall and online at www.RideDCTA.net. For more information, call 940-243-0077.
